About the Tote Bag:
About two years ago I began a battle with anxiety. The intention of this tote bag is to act as an emotional support bag. I always have a note on me that reminds me to "breathe in for 4, hold for 2, breathe out for 4" and whenever I feel an anxiety attack arising I look at the note as a way to bring myself back. Typically I can manage to hide my anxiety attacks, I appear fine on the outside but on the inside I have to relearn the basic task of breathing. I thought it would be interesting to incorporate those words. I appear untouched on the outside but am often suffocating on the inside. I decided by putting the words on the inside and not touching the outside would touch base on that aspect. The intent would be for this bag to be in use whenever someone may feel anxious, acting as a reminder to breathe. I want this bag to act as a tool.
