About the Tote Bag:
The name of this bag is “Guarded”. But, this tote bag explores more than a guarded feeling. By creating a fabric heart, I wanted to convey a heart that has been broken before and put back together. Through a patchwork technique, I wanted this bag to show healing and being out back together. By adding the stitchwork to look like barbed wire, the theme of guarded feelings and emotions can become more apparent. To further the emotion of this tote bag, the quote “above all else, guard your heart” ties in perfectly to the back. To me, guarding and protecting your heart is sometimes essential to growing and healing. Even with these deeper meanings, this tote bag is stylish and expressive. The colors and style of this tote bag are trendy yet have a message that can impact you or someone who walks by and sees you wearing it!
