why these were made and why the artist would like to part with them...

“As a student the work accumulates and what else is there to do but metaphorically burn it? There’s only so many prints you can foist on family and friends.”

Smile You Son of a Bitch: “My first attempt at woodcut, depicting an iconic scene at the end of Jaws, inspired by Rockwell Kent’s Moby Dick illustrations”

Good Trouble: “One of many woodcuts made as fundraisers in response to the traumatic events of the last year, in this case the death of John Lewis. (Proceeds will be donated)”

Judith (after Caravaggio) (Painting): “This painting is a transcription of Caravaggio’s Judith Beheading Holofernes, made for a class on experimental transcription. I was also transcribing a Cezanne at the same time so I used the same palette and brushwork here. Both artists are rolling in their graves.”

Judith (after Caravaggio) (Woodcut): “This woodcut is a transcription of Caravaggio’s Judith Beheading Holofernes, made for a class on experimental transcription.”
