why this was made...
This piece came to mind immediately after reading the prompt. I'm a huge fan of massage and always ask where the tension is and if it can be felt, so in that I felt charged to ask where in my body and in the audiences' body do they keep their stressors, tension, etc. What I'll be doing is asking the audience through nonverbal communications (cards & through touching themselves) where the tension is located, i will then make marks on my body using white, black and red body paint, allowing that space to move based on how many marks or what kind of marks are present. a mix between dance and stillness, i
hope to capture a score that motivates viewers to pay attention and release all that limits them.
