The Daly Edition...

The Daly Edition will be a series of forms all using the exact same amount of clay, with the rule that every piece must be exactly the same. Each piece will be numbered and sold, increasing in value as the edition grows. Purchasing a vessel from this edition is purchasing a step in the beginning stages of the learning process of an artist working outside her medium.

All completed pieces will be signed and numbered.

NOTE: If you are preordering before seeing the final piece, please understand that you might be purchasing a very flawed, non-functional piece of pottery. As long as you think of this a buying a piece of the learning process, you won’t be disappointed. The goal is that these will be functional little vessels but they might not be yet... purchase at your own risk. Purchasing any before #18 is extremely high risk. Purchasing any after #18 is also high risk but a little less so. Some of the ones with holes are referring to intentional drainage holes.

This is the first one. If it was a t.v. show, it would be the pilot episode. Just like a pilot episode, this pilot cup will give you a vague approximation of what I’m going for. In most cases, a t.v. show gets better after the pilot episode. I’m hoping that is the case here as well. You’ll note that this cup is much more expensive than the rest. That’s because it’s first and distinctly different from the rest. But again, it is probably not better.
